doc — about
Built in the open.
Aureon started as a private research log: one person building systematic strategies, writing down what worked and — more usefully — what didn't. Publishing it changed the quality of the work. When a backtest is going to be read by strangers, the assumptions get stated, the costs get modeled, and the survivorship bias gets fixed.
What's being built here is a public body of quantitative research: strategy teardowns with auditable numbers, tooling you can run yourself, and a record of the process including the dead ends. No signals for sale, no performance marketing, no course funnel.
Why: most quant content optimizes for engagement, not accuracy. The gap in the market is boring rigor. Everything published here follows one rule from the brand sheet — accent = information. If a number is highlighted, it is because the number matters.
